Questions & Answers

Why another social network?
There are many social networks out there. The question we must ask ourselves is 'Why are there so many?'. They all offer similar features, some of them with slight variations, and most are genre specific. WikiWiki is bridging the gap and creating one place that offers all of the features you want and expect. We are solving the problems, we all recognize, with current social networks. Above and beyond that, we are thinking in a new way with a fresh approach. Your lives will be simplified even more than you can imagine.

Why is WikiWiki asking for a donation to sign up?
It's quite simple. The donation deters people from reserving mass email addresses / social network names, which increases the chance that the name you want will be available. Your donation reserves your email / social network name and gives you the opportunity to participate in the Forum and to preview features and provide feedback and suggestions about those features. Your donation empowers you to help us make your online experience at WikiWiki superior.

What is Drag & Drop?
Drag & Drop is a technology that will change the way websites are used and created. Just think of having more control of how websites are displayed to you, the user. Imagine the possibilities...with the click of your mouse, you can delete or move several files with out the multiple click process you now are familiar with. You will be able to rearrange content and customize your page and content with out having to learn HTML code, or having to look for customized templates on the Internet that you copy and paste. The possibilities are virtually limitless over time as the Drag & Drop technology grows.

I am a celebrity or a business and my name is already taken. How can I obtain that name since it is my identity?
WikiWiki has taken it upon ourselves to pre-register a long list of celebrities, althetes, and musicians to ensure that when a user searches for you, that they are in fact viewing your personal page. Email register@wikiwiki.com with your contact information and we'll contact you to set-up your account.

You mention that WikiWiki will be for all ages. How will this work?
WikiWiki understands that content is personal. WikiWiki also understands that users want control over the content they view. We are implementing customizable filtering to address individual preferences.
-
How can I switch over to WikiWiki from my current social network?
Your content on other social networks remains your property. The photos belong to you. Your videos belong to you. WikiWiki will be using technology that will allow you to pull your content over to your WikiWiki acount seamlessly. Over time, you can phase out the other social networks and use WikiWiki full-time.
-
How will your email benefit me?
Many people have more than one email account, with more than one company or email provider. WikiWiki will be using an interface that will allow you to access all your other email accounts through our one email system, available online. This will allow you to access all your emails from any computer, at any time, from anywhere in the world, logging into one email account versus several. Also new, is the social network integration with your WikiWiki email account. All social networks seem to have a messaging system, but not true email. Your social network will send messages to and from friends through your email account. You will be able to customize your email by categorizing and identifying your emails, as they come in, according to type. This will help you to sort emails by contacts, by email provider, by groups, etc.

I am a developer and I would like to know if you plan on allowing third party applications to be introduced through WikiWiki?
Yes we are. We will be providing that information to developers once the final product goes live. Our second phase will open a new world of applications that will create new opportunities for social network applications to be used in ways never-before conceived.
